Exploring the human body.

Los Angeles shooter Christopher Shintani delicately explores the human body in his stunning photography, which we’ve chosen as this week’s Frames feature.

Chris is 28 years old, and has been shooting since 2007. He dropped out of business school and enrolled in art school instead, because it was the only thing that could hold his attention – and it looks to have paid off. Fast forward to 2015, and he’s shot for the likes of Nike & Revolve Clothing, as well as LWA ‘Tuesday Without’ favourites Alexis Ren & April Love.

Speaking on his work, he said “I love aesthetics with a graphic design element and clean lines. I lean towards shooting women over men because I feel the female body is incredibly beautiful with all of its curves and smooth lines. A woman’s eyes are something you can get lost in with a simple glance, and to capture that moment through a photograph is what I aim to strive for in my personal work.”

Chris has been cool enough to collect 10 of his favourite images below, including a breathtaking shot of the human angel herself, Jhene Aiko. Catch her singing at Soulfest later this year, and in the meantime, see Chris’ impressively bold work below:
