We could stare at Reed Plummer’s photos for hours.

Drones really have opened up a whole new way of seeing the world for us. The patterns of waves, colours of forests and peculiar behaviour of animals has been spotlighted ever since drones became commercially available a few years back. Central Coast-based photographer Reed Plummer’s portfolio is a great example of what can be produced with these magnificent machines, plus a bit of luck, and loads of talent.

For the 25-year-old, shooting the natural world is part of his endeavour to bring people and nature together. “The ocean is my favourite thing to shoot,” he says. “My process mostly involves experimenting between water and light, with an aim to generate some sort of emotive connection through an image. I am instinctively drawn to nature, and my work has evolved from a deep passion of creating something different, hoping that through my images people may be able to connect a bit closer to nature.”
