It’s no secret that Australia is going through a hip-hop renaissance right now, and Visualsbyrazak has been capturing crucial moments of the journey through his camera.
He’s the go-to photographer for skyrocketing artists like Manu Crook$, BLESSED, B Wise and more, snapping away in the studio, on set, onstage and backstage. If you’ve been to one of their gigs, you’ve probably seen Razak’s camera flash go off in a flurry, squeezing in between the heaving crowds. In a time when so much is changing for local hip-hop, we can’t help but feel that Razak is playing a huge role in documenting an unprecedented era in Australian music. We’ll probably look back on these photos in a few years time, and praise the Lord that moments like these were immortalised.
