Catfish & The Bottlemen played at Splendour in the Grass before another mammoth show at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, but Wollongong Unibar provided a slightly more intimate venue for us to catch the British rock favourites.

“Melbourne went off, Sydney went off and the difference about this show is that it’s a little bit smaller so it’s a completely different kind of gig – it’s those kind of gigs that we grew up playing… I’m looking forward to getting nice and sweaty, getting all the room going crazy and bumping into each other on stage and stuff like we used to,” lead singer Van McCann said before the show.

Catfish & The Bottlemen certainly lived up to their singer’s expectations, getting the whole venue fully engaged in their anthems, and a rare opportunity to see the band up close and personal. See all the images here:
