Australia’s new music festival, The Drop made its debut in Tweed Heads over the weekend, and what an introduction it was.

The Drop does things a little differently to your usual music festival, in that it follows the Australian leg of the World Surf League Championship around the country. The brainchild of surf icon Wayne Bartholomew, The Drop combines sport and music seamlessly in beachside locations, with the first event going down last Saturday at Ebenezer Park. It was a solid showing for The Drop’s first ever date, and with the likes of Dune Rats, Ruby Fields and SAFIA on the lineup, our ears got a bit of everything.
