At 22 years of age, it’s been one hell of a journey for Joey Badass.

You might remember when he caused stirs online with ‘Survival Tactics’ alongside the late Capital Steez back in 2012, or when he scored a guest verse on ASAP Rocky’s mammoth posse cut ‘1 Train’ the year after. Since then, the young Brooklyn emcee has grown into a full-fledged artist and one of the most important voices from the East Coast.

That’s evident from his second album, ALL-AMERIKKAN BADA$$ which is driven by fierce, introspective commentary on America’s hostile climate. Last night, Joey returned to Australia for his biggest gigs yet to bring the record to life, and the sold out crowd at The Enmore Theatre proved that Joey remains as crucial as ever in these turbulent times.
