Melbourne lads Northeast Party House have been killing it locally for a minute, and now they’re ready to spread the love internationally – but not before a run of rambunctious farewell shows.

We caught up with the lads as they arrived in Sydney for a gig at Oxford Art Factory, where we spent the day playing frisbee, footy and other assorted fun activities. We love activities! Check it out below:

JACKLWA-1

We meet up with Northeast Party House lead singer Zach and the band’s producer, keyboard wiz and all round legend, Sean. Here they are fiddling with the boards and getting 2SER way too turnt up. Party on, fellas!

JACKLWA-2

Sean keeping a close eye on all the every-important gear down at Oxford Art Factory.

JACKLWA-3

When your squad are all looking one hunnid. We head down to the park for some good old fashioned physical exercise.

JACKLWA-4

Oli shows us his masterful frisbee-throwing techniques, curated carefully over years of practical experience. Sean takes mental notes with immense concentration.

JACKLWA-5

Footy on the green quickly turns contentious, as the lads try to out-do each other and get their hands on the ball. Is this a casual pre-gig game or the bloody AFL grand final? Look at these chaps flexing their athletic maneuverability, 10 points for effort and stunned mullets.

JACKLWA-6

Can Sherrin or the AFL give these guys a sponsorship already? Someone page Eddie Maguire and send him the URL to this page, please. Look at the camaraderie and teamwork on display here. #BOYZONTOUR

JACKLWA-7

Sean goes to retrieve the ball which has been stuck in a tree. Why not ‘George of the Jungle’ for a quick minute while you’re up there? The world looks better when it’s upside-down.

JACKLWA-8

Enough with the exercise, we escape to Timezone because video games are way better than dealing with people IRL. Apparently Metallica have a pinball machine now, which Oli plays with enthusiasm. Unfortunately, it didn’t include the ‘Master of Puppets‘ guitar solo on repeat. #THRASH #HORNSUP

JACKLWA-10

With the recent release Straight Outta Compton, Northeast Party House get in touch with their gangster rap side. Timezone OGs on patrol, watch out you wack cunts!

JACKLWA-12

Next on the list of games that never should have been approved for the arcade: Virtual beer pong, which is just like the real thing – minus the beer, drinking and everything that makes it fun in the first place. Still, Mitch gives it a crack with the verbal support of Sean.

JACKLWA-14

Dance Dance Revolution in preparation for tonight’s antics. Some serious shapes are being cut at Timezone, these guys must have had a secret pop and lock lesson from Chris Brown.

JACKLWA-15

Windswept. Marilyn Monroe vibes.

JACKLWA-16

North East Party House Party dunking on all you motherfuckers, MJ in the house.

JACKLWA-17

Time for business. The lads put on their serious faces for soundcheck at Oxford Art Factory.

JACKLWA-18

How about this shirt? Biggie Smalls, one of the best to ever do it – excuse us while we listen to ‘Gimme The Loot‘ on repeat and try to shimmy like Puff Daddy. Congratulations to Jack for owning this shirt and also for having funny Tinder stories. #NOTORIOUS #BADBOY #RIP

JACKLWA-19

Sean breaking out the motivational speech in the green room.

JACKLWA-20

All that arcade basketball, and Zach is still trying to slam dunk onstage. Northeast Party House hit the stage and have the all the ladies in attendance squealing. We can’t blame them, what a big bunch of studs!

JACKLWA-22

This lady in particular seems overwhelmed with the whole experience.

JACKLWA-21

The whole retro shirt swag is off tap tonight. Here’s a Michael Jackson banger on Mitch.

JACKLWA-23

Beast mode.

JACKLWA-25

Thanks to Northeast Party House for the most exhausting workout and the most fresh air we’ve had in about six years, and also major props for playing The White Stripes and Rage Against The Machine covers at this gig! Make sure you check out their debut Any Given Weekend, it’s vibe central.
