With the world at a bit of a standstill right now, bookies around the world are scrambling to find things to bet on in light of the current climate. Setting their sights on the hit Netflix show Tiger King, betting on which actor will take up the challenge of playing the controversial tiger enthusiast on the big screen.
The oddsmakers at SportsBetting.ag have compiled a list of Hollywood stars who they think punters will bet on to play Joe Exotic, and their top choice is absolutely brilliant. If punters bet $100 on Kevin Bacon (Footloose, A Few Good Men), they’d only get a $150 return, making him the odds on favourite, beating out starts like Edward Norton (Fight Club), Billy Bob Thornton (Monsters Ball) and David Spade (Grown Ups).
Bookies are also speculating who’ll play Joe Exotics nemesis Carole Baskin, with the favourite being Wendi McLendon-Covey (Reno 911), beating out starts like Allison Janney (I, Tonya), Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), and Laura Dern (Marriage Story).
But there’s a bit of a time constraint on the whole shebang, with the film having to be released by 2021 or sooner. We don’t wanna be pessimistic here, but we can pretty much guarantee that that’s not gonna happen. We can hope though…
