Taken 3: Trailer
Gives us all our daughters back!

Just when Brian Mills thought is was safe to dream again – to cook again, to laugh again, to play dolls with his ageless teenage daughter again he has it all taken away from him. For a third time.

Yep, no matter what the 62-year-old Liam Neeson character tries to do he just can’t escape those pesky international terrorists who are determined not to kill him – but everything and everyone he loves instead.

The bastards ruined Paris for him. Ice-cream, too. And now after kidnapping his daughter twice, and Mills-dawg consequently rescuing her on both occasions and killing a plethora of men – who let’s face it, have families too (moment of silence) – they’re back with a vengeance. Though not “technically” with a vengeance because that would be a direct rip-off of Die Hard. And this is no rip-off of Die Hard. If it’s a rip-off of any movie it’s The Fugitive. Nonetheless, the trailer looks bad ass.

Life’s swell for Millsy. He’s learned to cut capsicums like a Chinese restaurant intern, he’s got his wife back and his daughter still has a record contract -presumably because Dad’s threatened to kill someone down at Capitol.

But he doesn’t want no part of that shit anymore. He’s clean. That life’s behind him. Again. Until his wife is… wait for it… is murdered! What? And now they want to take his daughter, too! Who’d have thought?

Thing is, the genius who murdered her has also framed Mills-master, and when Police discover him by the body they instantly accuse and attempt to arrest him. It’s a CIA operative’s word against a couple beat cops. But they care not. So he beats the living hell out of them and launches out the window – pretty nimble for a dude who’s three years away form being eligible for a pension – and goes about defending his daughter all the while being hunted down by the LAPD and Forest Whittaker.

And then there’s the matter of ending all this – for good. It’s chock-full of cheesy one-liners and a plethora of stuff we’ve seen before, but it looks like more fun than backstage at a Victoria Secret show with Justin Bieber and Miranda Kerr. Anything with Liam Neeson and a gun is worthwhile seeing in our easily-impressed opinion. Look! A brown dog!

The teaser was released earlier today and upon seeing we couldn’t help but throw our minds back to one of the best SNL skits ever. See below. And enjoy
