Still a tongue twister…

Two years after his infamous weed experience, Elon Musk returned to Joe Rogans podcast yesterday to talk the current state of the world, the progress of Tesla’s neurolink, and most importantly, how to pronounce his son’s name.

“It’s just X, the letter X, and then the Æ is pronounced ‘Ash’ and then A-12 is my contribution. Archangel 12, the precursor to the SR-71. Coolest plane ever. It’s true.”

Imagine being named after a plane. Regardless, you gotta give the pair props for ingenuity. Explaining the origins of his name, we were surprised to find out it wasn’t actually Musk’s idea for the quirky choice, citing his partner Grimes as the brains behind it.

Musk also opened up on what it was like to be having a newborn during this time of his life, stating “Actually, I think it’s better being older and having a kid,” he said. “I appreciate it more. Babies are awesome.”

Musk also elaborated on his tweets putting down the US’s COVID-19 measures, saying “We should be concerned about anything that’s a massive infringement on our civil liberties,” he said around an hour and fifteen minutes in. “It’s like, you got to put a lot of weight on that. A lot of people died to win independence with the country and fight for the democracy that we have. We should treasure that and not give up our liberties too easily. And I think we probably did that, actually.”

It’s definitely a super interesting listen, check out the full podcast below.
