Who said big budget action/comedies were stupid?

Fans of loud explosions, unlikely partners and redemptive tales, we have just the thing for you. The shiny new (but you’ve seen it a million times) film from Netflix, Spenser Confidential will undoubtedly be hitting that sweet spot between 90’s action film and rom-com level comedy harder than Mark Wahlberg hits the punching bag.

From the trailer, which features way too much Post Malone, we see Wahlberg’s Spenser get released from jail and forced to room with/partner up with Hawk (Winston Duke) to fight their way to just – in case you hadn’t guessed Marky Mark had been framed.

The film is based on NBC’s Spenser: For Hire from the mid to late 80s and seems intent on capturing that “I’m getting too old for this” spirit for Generation Z. It starts streaming March 6 on Netflix, check out the trailer below:
