It’s less than a month until Game Of Thrones returns to HBO, and now a chilling second trailer has given us more clues as to what to expect.

Taking us through a series of frostbitten landscapes with the dramatic score of Ramin Djawadi’s Light of the Seven plays in the background, the two minute trailer sees Sansa Stark take centre stage, also preparing us for some furious battles, bloodshed and cold-hearted betrayal that has earned the cult series a global following. It ends ominously with Stark saying “when the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies — but the pack survives.” DUN DUN DUNNN.

It’s a bittersweet feeling for GoT fans, with this marking the penultimate season for the series before it all wraps up for good sometime in 2018. Have a peek at the trailer below, and count down the days until July 16 for the full return:
