Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

With COVID-19 wreaking havoc not only on people’s lives but also many people’s livelihoods, creatives around the world are looking at new ways of expressing themselves and earning an income. One pursuit that is nearly impossible to perform with social distancing is photography, particularly when people are the subject… or so we thought.

The shoot we are sharing today features the gorgeous Chantal Vdalen who lives in Amsterdam and was captured by Wesley Lewis in Capetown, South Africa. How did they do it, you ask? “We shoot using a phone or Facebook video caller or FaceTime. From here we either do video and I screenshot my outtakes or we use the self-timer,” Wesley says. He then directed Chantal for certain poses/positions.
