There’s going to be no shortage of Splendour In The Grass rumours as we head towards the Byron Bay mega-festival in July, and organisers have just dropped some big hints as to who might be appearing this year.

Secret Sounds – the company behind SITG and Falls Festival – have announced that the two events will be presenting a joint showcase at SXSW in Austin, Texas later this month. The lineup includes Aussie coastal rock faves Hockey Dad as well as rap queen Tkay Maidza, while internationals include Lo Moon and Topaz Jones from the United States as well as Dream Wife and Youngr from the UK.

We’re expecting at least some of these names to appear at SITG and Falls Festival 2017, while Fuji Rock Festival in Japan also dropped its lineup last month. Traditionally, the festival shares some acts with SITG, and Fuji headliners include Major Lazer, The XX and Lorde, the latter of whom just dropped her comeback single ‘Green Light’. And who could forget Lorde’s hallmark performance at SITG 2013 when she replaced Frank Ocean in spectacular fashion?

Back in December, it was also revealed that touring powerhouse Live Nation acquired both SITG and Falls Festival, which has us hoping that 2017 will be the biggest editions ever. See the lineup for the SXSW party below and keep two ears open with July fast approaching:
