One of the world’s biggest and most polarising hip-hop stars is heading back Down Under.

Back in early 2015, Drake toured Australia for the first time. He rode a trapeze, wore a Wallabies rugby jersey and I saw somebody cry during ‘Marvin’s Room’ – it was pretty great. Also, 2Chainz supported him and performed ‘I Luv Dem Strippers,’ huge.

Now, it’s been revealed that Drake is returning to Australia in the very near future. While no dates have been secured, music website Noisey recently ran an interview with GP-SK, an American firm who design Drizzy’s ambitious sets. During the interview, Steve Kidd of the company lets the tour news slip, telling the interviewer that “you’re the first person to hear this besides Drake but we’re about to go to Australia and embark on another leg for him down there… I won’t give you the tools on what we’re actually gonna do but we’re gonna take it to the next level and make a new [standard] for everybody else.”

Kidd’s comments suggest that Drake’s tour is going to arrive sooner rather than later. It seems like the team have some pretty ambitious visual plans too, so start preparing your eyeballs now. As we mentioned earlier, Drake has released a stack of material since his last Australian tour – so this will be the first chance for us to (hopefully) hear the likes of ‘Fake Love,’ ‘Diamonds Dancing,’ ‘Controlla’ and ‘Passionfruit’ live. We are ready to sing ‘Passionfruit’ very loudly.

Stay tuned for Drizzy to drop the official dates, but for now, the news is very promising. Prepare for a long night of simultaneously dancing and crying:
