Nick Murphy released one of our favourite Australian EPs with Thinking In Textures under the Chet Faker alias, and now he’s reportedly dropping another bite-sized release soon.

As reported by Music Feeds, Murphy released a behind-the-scenes video last week, which included a short snippet of an unreleased track. Running the sounds through Shazam, it appears that the track is called ‘Bye’ and belongs to an upcoming release named Missing Link EP.

The news makes sense given that Murphy was recently announced as a performer at VIVID Live, where he’ll perform his 360 degree live show titled Missing Link. Should the Shazam be correct, this will mark Murphy’s first EP since he reverted back to his original name and was rebirthed as Nick Murphy.

Murphy has released two singles under his name in ‘Fear Less’ and ‘Stop Me (Stop You)’ – and it seems like we’ll be getting a bunch more sooner rather than later. Given that his recent collaborator Bonobo is very likely to play Splendour In The Grass, we’re hoping to see Murphy on the lineup when it drops this Wednesday.
