Dance duo Slumberjack have hit the ground running in 2017. Following the success of their single with Daniel Johns, Open Fire, (with the boys recently revealing that they’ve been working on more material with the ex-Silverchair frontman, too) they officially unleashed their single with songstress of the moment Vera Blue, Fracture, a track many fans are already familiar with thanks to the three talents already performing it out live at a few Australian festivals last year. In just over a month the single’s racked up near one million streams online and is currently the most played track on triple j – not bad at all, boys.
It sets the bar high for the level of awesomeness we can expect from Slumberjack’s sophomore EP, which is out next month. Just today the duo announced they’d be touring ’round Australia, in support of the EP release, with shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, following their appearances at Groovin’ the Moo festival nationally.
Kuren, an ascendent young gun out of Hamilton, NSW, whose been pricking up ears of late with his crisp productions, will support. Dates below. Tickets here on sale via slumberjackmusic.com this Friday 17 February.
