The Sydney garage-rockers will have you singing along in moments.

A couple of listens to Spruced Moose’s sophomore single ‘Ones Who Fly’ and it’s pretty clear why the five-piece were the 2018 Rockin’ The Puburbs champions. Heavy-hearted lyricism sung as if their lives are depending on it, gritty guitars, with infectious melodies you can pick up after a couple of listens – it’s all the ingredients to a perfect pub-rock track, and shows they’ve got no plans to slow down in 2019.

Lyrically the tune is something of a coming-of-age story, that traces the uncertainty we all feel at some stage as we transition through various stages of our lives. “It’s a song about growing up, coming to realisations about yourself and moving forward even if you’re scared to,” frontman Angus Bowring says.

Like what you’re hearing? Well you’re in luck. Spruced Moose will be hitting venues in NSW this March (dates below), and if the rumours are true, you won’t want to miss out on seeing one of the most buzzed about acts getting around at the moment.
