Having dropped single ‘73’ a month ago, Total Pace’s debut EP is now available for your listening pleasure.

Like a bit of gritty punk on your Tuesday right? Maybe a bit of lo-fi, high-energy garage? Well we have some good news for you. Brisbane-based fuzz merchants Total Pace have just introduced their debut EP, the vaguely titled ‘|’ to the big wide world, and we can tell you it certainly doesn’t pull any punches.

The group, which is made up of Violent Soho’s Luke Henery, DZ Deathrays’ Simon Ridley, Tape/Off’s Branko Cosic and I Heart Hiroshima’s Matthew Somers, have today offered five tracks and fifteen hot minutes of relentless headbanging which is somewhat reminiscent of Mudhoney and early Regular John, with the cheeky outsider lyricism of Eddy Current Suppression Ring.

With track names like ‘Pissing Yourself’ and ‘The Fuckerning’ and the calibre of musicianship in the group, it’s hard to imagine Total Pace not putting on a fucking huge live show and the EP comes just in time for their debut performance, this Thursday in Brissy (info here).
