Having just performed to a packed Amphitheatre at Splendour In The Grass, British trio The xx have announced their return to Australia with some colossal outdoor shows in January 2018.
Celebrating the release of their third album I See You, The xx will be arriving in Australia for three headline shows under the stars, taking on festival-sized outdoor venues for their latest live showcase. Their genre-spanning, down-tempo sound sprawled even further on I See You, which has once again earned them worldwide praise, driven by magnetic singles ‘On Hold’ and ‘I Dare You.’
Joining The xx will be Earl Sweatshirt, one of the most successful solo artists emerging from the Odd Future collective, as well as R&B singer Kelela, who’s slated to release her debut album LMK in October. The announcement of The xx shows in January follows news of the return of fellow Splendour In The Grass 2017 performers, ScHoolboy Q and Stormzy, who will both be arriving back in Australia for shows over the NYE period.
