In celebration of the release of his debut album Glow, Japanese Wallpaper shares some BTS snaps from his North America tour.

With the shimmering indie-electro sounds of his record Glow gracing the ears of listeners around the world today, we can only imagine Gab Strum AKA Japanese Wallpaper is on cloud nine right now – and why shouldn’t he be. In the last couple of months, he’s dropped a ripping Like A Version, wrapped up a massive North American tour with Allday and Mallrat, and been the subject of a lot of industry hype.

The Glow tour kicks off tomorrow with a performance at Canberra’s Stonefest, before hitting Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane – info/tickets here. But for now, check out some snaps he took whilst travelling through North America, and give Glow a listen while you’re doing it!

At the airport on the first morning of tour with a small percentage of the 30+ bags we were travelling with.

Grace turned 21 on the day of our show in Washington, DC so we threw her a surprise picnic in the park.

Tom at a gas station.

Tom, Memphis, Denim and our tour manager Stacy at… another gas station. We probably spent as much time stopping for petrol as we did actually playing music.

Before loading in at the venue in San Francisco. Carrying gear around is always my least favourite part of tour.

Grace with her toy dinosaur Miso at the airport.

Our drummer Anthony. He and I played two sets a night, as Japanese Wallpaper and also Allday’s backing band.

DJ Denim in Pontiac, MI.

Mallrat napping on a venue floor.

Denim took this photo before the last show in SF.
