A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Australia would be part of Ultra Music Festival’s global expansion, and now more details of the Down Under events have been revealed.

In 2018, Road To Ultra will take place in Melbourne as a single stage, single day event. Then, the real thing will come into fruition in 2019 – with Ultra Music Festival taking place in Sydney and Melbourne for multi stage, multi day events.

Indeed, this sounds like the biggest live dance event to hit Australia since Stereosonic and Future Music Festival in their prime – and with those mega-events now gone, the stage is set for a full Ultra takeover. Given Ultra’s genre-spanning line-ups overseas, let’s hope that they can carry a similar weight all the way to Australia. The likes of One Love and Lucky Entertainment have been sharing the news of Ultra’s expansion, so we have high hopes for the Australian incarnation.
