Hailing from St Clair in Sydney’s Western Suburbs, the Main St rapper is back with another noteworthy solo effort.

Featuring production from the formidable R.Soze, ‘On Lock’ is Bentley B’s first release since his 2018 10-track EP Light, and registers as a timely reminder of his rap credentials. With honest and measured bars Bentley B really stamps his authority on the track with his signature spoken word cadence, walking listeners through his street reflections. The clip runs more of the same, showcasing street CEO energy throughout and blending iconic rap imagery with its own unique twists.

“The song is about taking control of your situation and making sure the team is on the same level together, rising up.” Bentley B said, “we felt like the intro to the song had an underwater type vibe. But it [the aquarium scene] was basically just a dope idea and we ran with that.” How many emerging artists can you name with an actual shark in their music video? I’ll wait.
