Sydney’s Jacky & The Wünderz deliver brooding tune in ‘The Böy,’ just before a rare appearance by the group tomorrow night at Golden Age Cinema.

Having delivered sister clip ‘Never Again‘ halfway through 2017, Jacky & The Wünderz are back with an equally dark and intriguing video for new tune ‘The Böy’ – an elegant yet gritty marriage of distorted guitars, drum machines and synths, that sits somehwere between the moody post-punk of Rowland S. Howard and the irresistable pop of Talking Heads.

Filmed by Super Trip (partially in Sydney and partially in Tokyo) whilst on tour, the clip sees the band cruising around in a 1976 Jaguar in search of Jacky who (as seen in the ‘Never Again’ video) is suffering under the influence of a toxic potion that is known as Wünder.

‘The Böy’ is being released ahead of an extremely rare live performance tomorrow night at Golden Age Cinema (info here) where the band will also be premiering a film ‘No Tricks’ that features all 16 tracks from Jacky & The Wünderz’ debut album Juice, out soon on Dinosaur City Records. Sounds like a Wünderful evening to us!
