Aussie Artists Slam Sydney’s Lock Out Laws

With the introduction of Sydney’s ‘Lock Out’ laws in 2014, Sydney’s nightlife was dealt a massive blow in the eyes of some of Australia’s musical heavy weights. NSW Premier Mike Beard took to social media earlier this week, claiming that the new laws have helped bring down the amount of assaults and alcohol related incidents since there introduction. With venue closures and many of the remaining ones struggling to stay open, we wonder what price these new lockout laws will continue to have upon the innocent businesses and individuals who frequent Sydney’s City after dark.  The Preatures, Flight Facilities and Alison Wonderland are among a number of Australian musicians speaking out against Mike Baird, after the NSW Premier defended his Government’s controversial lockout laws.

The Preatures Singer Izzy Mandfredi added this to her Facebook, along with a statement about her and fellow band member Jack Moffitt’s struggle to find a place to enjoy a drink late night.
