While the rap world recently paid tribute to the Tupac Shakur on his birthday, Ice Cube also announced that the West Coast icon would be portrayed in upcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton.

“Happy Birthday to the homie Tupac. Shooting the Tupac scene for ’Straight Outta Compton’ today. The stars are aligned,” Cube wrote in an Instagram tribute – and now the actor playing Tupac has been revealed.

Los Angeles actor Marcc Rose will be stepping into the late rapper’s shoes – and he looks a hell of a lot like ‘Pac, so he’s already halfway there. He just needs a nose piercing and backwards bandana to complete the look.

Aside from N.W.A’s original members, the film is also set to feature characters integral to their career – including portrayals of Snoop Dogg and Suge Knight.
