Well we all know it’s freaking freezing here in the Southern Hemisphere, BUT it does have it’s advantages. The snow is the best it has been in the last few years and what i hear especially Perisher.
More importantly Australia has never hosted a stronger field of international Snowboarders and Freeskiers as The Mile High by Carlton Dry is in 2014. Kicking off on the 25th August, the world’s best will come together in Perisher to compete in the first leg of the Australian Slopestyle Tour (AST).
The stakes are a little higher for The Mile High by Carlton Dry this year. There’s an extra incentive for boarders to bring their a-game beyond the $15,000 cash prize pool. Introducing this year as well is the ‘Double Down’ – an extra $50,000 to be divided equally between male and female divisions for any rider who wins both AST events, The Mile High by Carlton Dry and Stylewars.
