Continuing his collaboration with Adidas, all-round bad man Pharrell has put his spin on the Adidas Superstar – a sneaker that holds a special place in hip-hop ever since Run DMC immortalised it with ‘My Adidas’ back in 1986.

However, it’s not just one sneaker that Pharrell is releasing – he’s put out no less than 50 colourways of the same silhouette, in a sneaker rainbow of sorts dubbed the ‘Supercolor’ pack. Stretching from burgundy to turquoise to baby pink, there’s every shade imaginable – catering largely to a summer audience.

Considering how popular monotone sneakers are, and how versatile the Superstar is, we’re sure that people will pick up their favoured shade with little hesitation. Speaking on the collaboration, Pharrell said:

“Supercolor is a celebration of equality through diversity. With 50 colors of the Superstar, everybody will be able to select his or her color. It is more diverse than any pack ever before and therefore it is more individual than any pack ever before.”
