In what is the best news since forever, Ja Rule will be touring Australia once again after an all too brief visit in 2014. This time, he’ll thankfully be joined by his Murder Inc partner-in-crime, Ashanti.

The king and queen of crossover bangers throughout the 2000s, Ja Rule & Ashanti ruled the airwaves and clubs with undisputed hits from the Murder Inc vault. Ja Rule was known for his gravel vocal delivery which always sounded like he needed a packet of Butter Menthols. Ashanti was known for being extremely beautiful and releasing the greatest song of all time in ‘Foolish‘. She also looked fantastic in the video for this recent Puff Daddy gem.

While both have stepped back from the spotlight since the glory days, this tour is sure to be a tear-inducing dance down memory lane that will definitely include baggy jeans and at least seven du-rags.

A little investigative journalism indicates that the two will be performing in Melbourne on July 24, while a Facebook event bills the blockbuster duo for a show in Perth on July 25. We’re still waiting for a full run of dates to be announced.

The two dates above are suspiciously close to Splendour In The Grass – could the festival organisers be planning something huge for the main stage? Probably not, but we can dream.

UPDATE: This poster has specified dates and cities for the two. Sorry Melbourne, you only get Ja Rule. You’re gonna have to drive to Geelong for Ashanti.
