We all love Eminem most for his brash rhymes and sadistic sense of humour, but here he’s shown a more heartfelt side with a letter that he penned to Afeni Shakur, mother of late West Coast legend Tupac. Rappers besides Drake have feelings, too!

While there’s no date on the letter, it’s reportedly on display at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts. In the letter, Eminem calls Afeni “a true Queen” and states that he will “never forget the opportunities you have given me.”

He also reiterates the influence that ‘Pac had on his music, saying “He gave me the courage to stand up and say ‘Fuck The World! This is who I am! And if you don’t like it, go fuck yourself!'”

The letter was accompanied by an illustration of 2Pac, as Eminem has apparently been drawing since he was 10 years old. By the way, how nice is Slim Shady’s handwriting?
