Monster Children Announce Stephanie Gilmore As Guest Editor With Short Film ‘The Tempest’

Six-time world champion Stephanie Gilmore is trading her surfboard for the keyboard, stepping in as Guest Editor for Monster Children Issue 52.

MC have announced the news with a short film titled The Tempest, which consists of breathtaking footage of Gilmore flexing her surfing prowess in the Indonesian archipelago, directed by film and photography guru Jon Frank. Shot over two days in paradise, the film also features a dazzling soundtrack from classically-trained pianist and composer Alberto Bof. After seeing Gilmore in her element, it’ll be evident why Kelly Slater called her an original badass’.

Issue 52 will feature #engagingcontent curated by Gilmore including features on longtime rock photographer Bob Gruen and Australian breakout dance producer Anna Lunoe. You can catch Gilmore in Issue 52 from October 7, available online and from newsstands. In the meantime, here’s The Tempest:
