Shot in an eclectic apartment in France, Bruno Carvalhaes’ shoot is an artistic vision. In it, Belgium model Isabel Deprince welcomes us to her painting masterclass, combining craftsmanship and poise and for a shoot that’s as pretty as a picture. Using a paintbrush to pull her hair back, Isabel lounges around her canvas-covered pad in Rue des Lombards – a Parisian street known for its renowned jazz clubs – and touches-up her equally-jazzy artworks with all the elegance of a Da Vinci muse. Speaking of his inspirations, Bruno credits the shoot to its classy subject and even classier locale.
“Isabel is a friend and when I first got into her place, I was impressed by the beauty of her atelier-apartment. So I told her I would love to shoot her during a random painting-work session of hers. And that’s what we did,” Bruno says.
