Is this what they meant by ‘opening the gate’?

An adult entertainment company has begun rolling out Stranger Things- inspired sex toys following the release of the sci-fi show’s fourth season. The latest instalment of the series premiered last week, and while it’s been billed as the scariest edition yet, it’s nothing compared to the (literally) monstrous fleshlight launched by the US toymakers overnight.

The company, called Fleshlight, took to Twitter to share a promotional image of the new product, which is shaped like the Demogorgon monster who first appeared in Stranger Things’ first season. Captioned “Welcome to the upside down,” the product leaves little to the imagination, with a suggestively-shaped hole surrounded by the monster’s spiky tendrils.

While it’s unclear why anyone would want to shove their penis in an interdimensional beast (although sci-fi fans are particularly committed), the so-called Demogorgussy will allow Stranger Things audiences to explore their own nether regions, albeit with better outcomes than that of the show’s central characters. 

It’s also unclear whether the fleshlight is an actual sellable product or merely a marketing scheme off the back of Stranger Things fanfare. But hey, if Eleven can evaporate the Demogorgan with her telekinesis, then fans should also get a shot (pun intended) at demolishing the monster themselves.
