Watch experts G-Shock took to Marrickville last night to celebrate their latest model, a DW5600 collaboration with local hero Ta-ku.

While Ta-ku earned much of his global recognition through beat-making, he’s since proven himself as one of the country’s most well-rounded creatives, moving across design, photography and fashion with slick confidence. Now, he’s designed his own G-Shock watch, which served as a digital interpretation of his pensive Songs To Make Up To.

The watch features soft floral hues, adding life to a stealthy black body. Fans came to celebrate the new collaboration last night at The Sheds, which also served as G-Shock’s 35th anniversary. The OG himself, and ‘Father of G-Shock’ Kikuo Ibe was also present, making this party a celebration of both past and present. See it all above, and cop the G-Shock and Ta-ku collaboration here:
