Joining a growing list of ‘cabin’ stores across the world from Bondi to Bali, Globe has made its presence felt in Hong Kong with the opening of a new location in Sheung Wan.

To help launch the new location, skate legend Rodney Mullen was present at the store, while Globe founder Peter Hill was also present to welcome the crowds of keen punters. Explaining the store’s beautifully refined interior, he said that “the store retains its original Hong Kong tiled floors (sadly disappearing in much of 21st century HK) and meshes with the oak arts and crafts style from other Globe cabin stores with its Anglo influence.”

Further explaining the choice for Globe to expand into the ever-bustling, neon-lit city, Hill said that “Hong Kong is the city we love most in Asia. The energy and sense of adventure and Hong Kong’s long history as a place to step out and explore from makes it a natural choice for the Globe cabin.”
