The hip-hop mainstay has made some Aussie friends.

Hip-hop heavyweight A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has today shared his global spotlight with Australian talent, enlisting fresh verses from local rap up and comers Youngn Lipz, Creed Tha Kid and Day 1 for a remixed rendition of ‘Mood Swings’.

On the drill-influenced track, Boogie spits his signature auto-tuned bars over a trap-heavy beat, before sharing the microphone with Aussie upstart Youngn Lipz. The Cabramatta local, whose November release “Misunderstood” has since amassed over five million streams, brings raw vocals and speedy flows to the track, more than cementing his place alongside industry heavy-hitters.

In his effort to “use my platform to help shine a light on Australian talent,” Boogie completes the hip-hop quartet with additional verses from Brisbanian Soundcloud titans Creed Tha Kid and DAY1, whose melodic hooks and lyrical chops prove there’s welcome space for Aussies in the wider hip-hop scene.

“I told Boogie last year I was gonna put my city on the map,” DAY1 says of his high-profile collaborator, and with upcoming shows at Sydney’s FOMO festival, it looks like Aussie talent is here to stay.
