Massive anthem alert: It has been revealed that The Weeknd & Daft Punk are stepping in the studio together for what we can only assume will be a colossal collaboration.

The news was leaked by Wendy Goldstein of Republic Records, who said that the two parties had a recent recording session. You can find the revelation at the 2:37 minute mark in this video right here:

This was also supported by a recent picture that The Weeknd posted to his Facebook page, showing two miniature robotic figurines resembling the French dance legends:

If the collaboration comes into fruition, we’re guessing that it’ll omnipresent at clubs and radio airwaves for quite some time. The Weeknd flexed his commercial potential with the huge Max Martin collaboration ‘Can’t Feel My Face’, while Daft Punk also showed their pop prowess and collaborative talents on ‘Get Lucky’ with Pharrell Williams. Given their respective histories of crafting hits, let’s just pray that this one surfaces sooner rather than later.

Both The Weeknd & Daft Punk are notoriously elusive and haven’t been the most open artists to the media, so we’re not holding our breath for any real hints about what to expect from the actual artists – but even if this one drops as a surprise straight out of left field, the world just might stop for a few minutes to dance.
