Struth! Client Liaison’s new tune is more Aussie than the Southern Cross on Shannon Noll’s boob.

Not afraid to wear their patriotism on their sleeve, Sydney duo Client Liaison have today unleashed a ripper of a clip for their latest, ‘Beat Supreme’. The tune, which premiered on triple j last night, has that classic CL sound – sleek 80s beats, moody synths, and huge vocal lines – and will undoubtedly further cement their position as Australia’s premier dance inducers. The clip, however, is a work of art in itself.

Shot in West Australia’s Pilbara, it conjures up memories of the bush/desert music videos that were huge in the ’80s, as the duo gives a typically energetic performance, in typically ahh… unique… costume. According to vocalist Monte Morgan, the clip pays homage to the Aussie music that influenced the group.

“Client Liaison venture far into the outback in search of the Great Australian Sound. Looking back while moving forward, we seek to awaken a second wave of superior Australian vibration,” he says. “An ode to our musical heroes ‘the groove elite’, INXS, Icehouse, Yothu Yindi, Tina Arena, John Farnham and Christine Anu, The Beat Supreme is the sound of the Australian soil and all it’s intricate extremes.”
