Oh boy, this one’s gonna be large.

Fresh off grime tours with the likes of Stormzy, AJ Tracey and D Double E, local promoters Astral People have snagged one of the genre’s pivotal pioneers – presenting Dizzee Rascal’s upcoming Australian visit in February.

It’s been a long journey for Dizzee, with his roots in the Roll Deep collective and landmark solo debut Boy In Da Corner winning the Mercury Prize in 2003. Since then, he’s continued as a grime and hip-hop staple, also finding more mainstream success with crossover singles like ‘Dance Wiv Me’ alongside Calvin Harris and ‘Bonkers’ with Armand Van Helden.

Earlier this year, Dizzee released his sixth album Raskit to critical acclaim, which will ease nicely into his first Australian tour since 2014. Dizzee will be performing three shows in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, and with the current music landscape obsessed with all things English, we’d be inclined to say that these will sell out in a flash.
