DMA’S, Cub Sport, Thelma Plum To Perform At AFL Grand Final

Kicking goals.

It’s one of the biggest sporting days in the country, and now, for those of us that don’t care about sports, there’s an actual reason to tune into the 2020 AFL Grand Final on Saturday October 24th – the music. With the final taking place outside of Victoria for the first time ever, Brisbane’s will host an all-Aussie lineup under the lights at The Gabba.

Hometown indie-pop powerhouses Cub Sport, balladeers the DMA’S, Wolfmother frontman Andrew Stockdale and Electric Fields featuring Thelma Plum and Busby Marou will all take to the stage, along with a pop band called Sheppard who (after a quick Google) we’ve just realised sung that ‘Geronimo’ song.

The Brisbane Symphony Orchestra will also be performing, which will finally marry football and classical music, as we’ve always dreamed, and there’ll be a special welcome to country will be performed by Brisbane group Tribal Experiences, from Yuggera-Toorabul Country.
