Happy Monday, it’s Splendour In The Grass week!

It’s just a few days until we’ll be packing our bags and heading up north to Byron Bay for the the three-day soiree, and boy, it’s looking like a belter. The Splendour organisers have delivered one of their strongest lineups in recent memory – including some serious eyebrow-raisers like Lil Yachty – and it’s promising to be a fun-filled weekend of frolicking in the grounds, eating gozleme and seeing a few bands in between.

Still, anybody who’s been to Splendour will tell you that you often have the most fun exploring the festival’s smaller stages, where Australian artists and DJs congregate from around the country. Local label I OH YOU will be curating sounds at the Smirnoff Lodge on Friday, and one of the artists that they’ve recruited is Melbourne party-starter Mimi.

As one half of CRXZY SXXY CXXL alongside Jade Zoe, we caught Mimi when she brought her infamous club night to Sydney last April, which was a solid few hours of body-rolling R&B and straight rap bangers. Later this week, she’ll be heading to Splendour solo, spinning for I OH YOU from 7:00pm on Friday night alongside Le Fruit, Sosueme, Pilerats and many more. Ahead of her set, Mimi has delivered a half-hour of power in this exclusive mix, running through all the Splendour acts that she’s most excited to witness.

There’s internationals like ScHoolboy Q (who’ll be playing his sole Australian show at the festival) and Stormzy, as well as local beat-based faves including Moonbase and Lewis Cancut – all of which has us hyped for the weekend’s shenanigans. Listen to Mimi’s selections before catching her on Friday, and we’ll see you all up in Byron Bay:
