2019 is well and truly in swing and we’ve got a bunch of new music from Aussie acts that you should be tuning in to.

Eagle Eye Jones

Northern Beaches chillers Eagle Eye Jones released their new single ‘You Know Me Best’, yet another smooth blend of funk rock, groovy blues to add to their repertoire. We lapped up their honey tones and poetic lyrics, ringing true of their ability to continuously draw crowds. To top it off a seriously fun clip accompanies this release, check it out if you know what’s good. They will be playing at the Oxford Arts Factory on the 9th of March on the main stage, supports TBA (info here).

Sinj Clarke

If you haven’t heard Sinj Clarke’s title track ‘An Italian Afternoon’, I’d do so immediately – it’s a helluva vibe. We spoke to Sinj earlier this week about his release and couldn’t be more spellbound. Featuring some of Sydney’s finest jazz and orchestral musicians, Clarke has managed to pull off some Houdini type magic with this one.

Brendon Moon

We are stoked to have miraculously stumbled upon the debut album of Brendon Moon. His hauntingly beautiful voice is no doubt a gift from the heavens. Elements of dream pop duo Beach House come to mind, however, Brendon masters his own version of an ethereal soundscape that is uniquely his. You can catch Brendon’s album launch at The Sly Fox on Friday 6th of February (yes this Friday), playing alongside LWA favourites Aislinn Young and Charlie Gradon – info here.

Bananagun

What’s in store for Bananagun? Having just put out their single ‘Do Yeah’, we have been granted a small glimpse into the weird, wonderful and worldly powers this five-piece has to offer. With some serious 60’s haze, punchy percussion and hypnotic chanting we are curious to see what’s next. They will be playing their single launch alongside The Uplifting Bell Ends and CCKXH on February 21’s at the Cobra Club (info here) – until then let this track carry you while doing just about anything.

The Good Doogs

As you probably already know, Perth’s surf-rock indie boys Good Doogs have struck a chord landing Triple J’s Unearthed Feature Artist of the week. ‘Nobody/Alone’ plays on washy guitar, apathetic lyricism and sandy grit the trio is known for. Give the Perth boy’s some lovin’ and check it out here:
