Fix up, look sharp, because a UK heavyweight is about to return to Australia.

With the current popularity of grime and UK bass, much of the genre’s popularity can be traced back to the legendary Dizzee Rascal. A member of Roll Deep and highly influential solo artist since his landmark 2003 debut album Boy In Da Corner, Dizzee has flown the British sonic flag across the globe with endless charisma, later finding more mainstream success with crossover singles like ‘Bonkers’ and ‘Dance Wiv Me’ featuring Calvin Harris.

Now, local promoters Astral People have all but confirmed Dizzee’s return to Australia next year. They recently took to their Facebook page to share a picture from the iconic Boy In Da Corner album cover, which features Dizzee crouched with a pair of black Air Max BWs. They’ve captioned the picture ‘HE’S COMING. 2018’ – which makes the message pretty clear.

Astral People have toured UK talents like Stormzy, Oneman and Lady Leshurr in recent months, while they’re currently presenting a run of shows from AJ Tracey, so it sounds like the tour is in safe hands. Dizzee last visited Australia in 2014, so we’re sure that plenty will be welcoming his upcoming visit with open arms. Stay tuned for more info as it comes.
