After releasing several singles over the last couple months, Los Angeles R&B talent Jhené Aiko has announced that her upcoming album Chilombo will be released on March 6th via Def Jam Recordings.
The title of the album is taken from Jhené’s full name ‘Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo’, which means ‘wild beast’ (that’s so dope btw). She took to Insta to give us a look at the tracklist and damn this already looks so promising.
The 20 song tracklist has some crazy features, with artists like H.E.R., Big Sean, Miguel and Nas gracing the album. Safe to say this is gonna be the R&B offering fans have been craving since 2017’s Trip.
The LA native also went into detail of the origins of her name and to give some additional backstory to the album as well.
Safe to say if Chilombo is anywhere near as impactful and sick as this Insta post is leading us onto believe, Jhené will have a real hit on her hands, and we can’t wait…
