Slumberjack Drop New Track ‘Open Fire’ With Daniel Johns

Daniel Johns raised a few eyebrows when he dropped his solo album Talk last year – dabbling with smooth pop and electronic sounds that were a far cry from his riff-heavy days in Silverchair.

But while the grunge was gone, Johns’ charisma certainly remained in tact – and the Australian music legend delves even further into the realm of electronica on a new collaboration with Perth duo Slumberjack. ‘Open Fire’ might remind you of the Silverchair classic of the same name, but this time it’s filled with bouncy synths and heavy percussion – expect this one to go off when Slumberjack perform at Splendour In The Grass this year. Could we even see a live cameo from the Newy OG? We can only pray.
