One of Australia’s favourite rock outfits, The Preatures have signalled their return with a new single and a special Vivid LIVE gig to preview material from their forthcoming second album.

Having earned overwhelming national attention and chart success with their debut album Blue Planet Eyes, prepare for plenty more from The Preatures in 2017, because they’re coming out with both guns blazing.

Served up at the Triple J breakfast show this morning, ‘Girlhood’ is another belter to add to The Preatures’ rustic, riff-filled catalogue, and discusses the conflicted nature of modern womanhood. It’s also the first taste of their currently untilted sophomore album. Speaking on the track, vocalist Isabella Manfredi said “I can only speak of my own experiences, I’m not trying to speak for other women. This song is about exploring the contradictions of my own identity.”

Along with the track, The Preatures have announced a special Vivid LIVE show at the Sydney Opera House, which will see them preview even more material from the album. It’s going down on June 1, with tickets available from 12:00pm tomorrow right here.

Listen to ‘Girlhood’ below and prepare for plenty of newbies at Vivid LIVE. They’re back:
