We can always pretend.
Top 5
June 11, 2015

It’s that time of the year when even getting an Uber to a club seems a little too hard work, dinner with mates? Way too far. Hanging out at the pub? As long as it has a fireplace. Well, the weather outside maybe cold, but it doesn’t mean inside your headphones can’t be providing the heat. Check out the latest five songs to hit our inbox to keep you warm this winter.

1. Mr. Carmack and Kehlani – ‘All In’

Since it began a few years ago, Adidas and Yours Truly’s “Songs From Scratch” series has brought together artists from different corners of the music world, locked them in a studio together, and then released the resulting tracks. Usually, they’re pretty great. Featuring the Hawaiian prolific producer Mr. Carmack and the Bay Area singer Kehlani whose debut album just casually features G-Eazy, PartyNextDoor, and Chance the Rapper. Hit repeat.

2. Jai Wolf – ‘Indian Summer’

‘Indian Summer’ by Jai Wolf is a new release from Foreign Family Collective, an outlet for musicians and visual artists alike curated by the duo behind ODESZA. A colourful twist on Indian folk singing, and shimmering synths make this the perfect track for a humid beach party.

3. Chiefs – ‘Demon’ Feat. Beayz

In the words of Gold Coast producer Paces, this track is pure fire.

4. TOKiMONSTA – Saw Sydney (Pharrell ‘That Girl’ Flip)

While LA producer TOKiMONSTA might be braving the cold part of her AUS/NZ tour, she still had time to casually write a killer beat that transports you right to the infinity pool of Pharrell’s new mansion. Dropping it on Soundcloud last night she writes; “Made this last night in my hotel room in Sydney, Australia. <3” NBD.

5. Gucci Boo – ‘I Am Gucci’

Well, nothing says keeping warm quite like Jersey Club. We don’t have too much info on GB, except that he’s from Australia, he’s worked with Sydney rapper Yung Dread (aka The Yung Dready Bastard of Woon crew) and flipped Flume, RL Grime and O.T. Genasis winning over fans across the globe.
