Creativity is something Dolan Stearns has never had a problem with.
Whether it’s on a skateboard or with a pen, the man just oozes a type of free-flowing imagination that shows in everything he does.
With a highly successful career in skating, Dolan has recently been dabbling more in his artistic ideas. Drawing and painting on almost anything and everything, his work possesses a type of raw originality that speaks to his upbringing in the world of graff and skating. It’s not surprising to see his surreal characters sprawled across a 30-foot wall, tightly illustrated on the fronts of empty cigarette packets, or more recently, on a crisp, white Brixton snapback.
We asked Dolan some questions about skating, art, and the one and only Mr. Saturday Night Fever, John Travolta.
