Party & Bullshit
March 27, 2018

This year’s Air Max Day celebrations ended with a bang on Sunday, when Nike took over the spacious rooftop of Curtin House to celebrate their signature line of bubbled footwear.

Since being introduced in 1987, Nike’s Air Max line has become a footwear staple across the globe; morphing into shapes, colours and sizes that we never thought imaginable. Steadily spearheading a subculture of footwear fiends, Air Max now has its own international day of celebration on March 26th, with Nike throwing a range of events in the lead-up to the grand finale.

Last Sunday, Nike hosted a day of workshops and instillations on the Curtin House rooftop, where punters were invited to panel talks covering all aspects of Air Max, from the aesthetic side to its ever-evolving technology. Then, as night turned to day, Boiler Room took over with Strict Face, Basenji and more taking over the decks for a full-fledged party in the rain. With Nike unveiling their new Air Max 270 silhouette this year, we can’t wait to see what they have in store for 2019 – only 364 days to go:
