Party & Bullshit 3y

The Lord Gladstone went full-blown Super Saiyan on the weekend, hosting a three-stage, two level soiree for Purple Sneakers’ 10th birthday.

It’s been a minute since Purple Sneakers threw an event in Sydney, and while the foundational club night introduced many of us to electronica and dance in the 2000s, we felt that same magic once more as they hit double digits.

Kicking off at 3pm and stretching for 12 hours, the Chippendale pub was packed to the brim – DJs including Nes, Kato and Levins took over the downstairs areas, while Purple Sneakers closed the night with their throwback set honouring the glory days. Also, shouts to FlexMami for wearing a full-gold outfit that was extremely powerful!

Upstairs, Good Space Gallery – which usually hosts #art shows from our pals like Chris Yee and James Jirat – became a sweaty den for live performers including Indian Summer and World Champion, while rave-hungry clique Motorik and their mates in Wordlife got the gallery heaving until the early hours of the morning.

Happy birthday to Purple Sneakers once more, and see all the action from the Gladdy above:
